New Mexico awards contract for State Fair master plan

SANTA FE – The State of New Mexico, the New Mexico State Fair, and the General Services Facilities Management Division have awarded a contract to Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. to develop a comprehensive master plan aimed at transforming the State Fair and its facilities into a stronger economic, cultural and entertainment driver for New Mexico.

New Mexico recognizes that there is substantial potential to increase the usage of the State Fairgrounds on a year-round basis.

Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. has experience in community engagement, planning, urban design, economic development and analysis to complete the comprehensive research needed to develop a master plan which maximizes the operation and utilization of facilities of the State Fairgrounds, including the prioritization of needs and growth for the next 10 to 20 years.
